More Veteran Actors and Technicians added to 'Vijay 60'

As his 59th film 'Theri' is doing phenomenal business in theaters across the globe, Ilayathalapathy Vijay has already started working on his 60th film which was launched on April 11.

The shooting of the film is expected to recommence on May 2, in Binny Mills Chennai. Now the 'Vijay 60' or 'Thalapathy 60' team has opened an official Twitter account and announced the complete cast and crew details.

The details we already no are that the film is being produced by the prestigious Vijaya Productions presently owned by Venkatrama Reddy. Bharathan of 'Azhagiya Tamil Magan' fame has written the script and directing this landmark film of Ilayathalapathy. Keerthy Suresh has been roped in as the heroine. Sathish and Sreeman will be playing supporting characters while Jagapati Babu and Daniel Balaji will be playing the negative roles.

The other cast members as announced today are Harish Uthaman, Y.Gee.Mahendra, Aparna Vinod, Sharath Lohithaswa, 'Aadukalam' Naren, 'Mime' Gopi and Vijayaraghavan. More prominent actors are expected to be added to the ensemble star cast.

The technical crew consists of music director Santhosh Narayanan, cinematographer Sukumaran. Editor Praveen KL and Art Director Prabhakaran. Vairamuthu will be penning the lyrics for all the songs.

The other technicians announced today are as follows: Anal Arasu as Stunt choreographer, Preethy Reddy and Sathya as Costume Designers, K.Rajan is the costumer, Tuney John is the (poster) Designer and Amrith Ray is the Still Photographer of this most anticipated project.

Theri has turned out to be an earth-shattering victory for Vijay, and the film has earned about Rs 3.47 crore in the UK, and in Australia, it has rake in Rs 2 crore, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

Now, Vijay is all set for his upcoming film with director Bharathan. The film is tentatively titled Vijay 60. It was said the makers have kept the cast and crew under wraps. But now, the complete cast and crew of Vijay 60 have been released on the official social media page of the film.

Vijay 60’s second schedule to begin with a song shoot

As reported earlier, second schedule of Ilayathalapathy’s untitled 60th film will commence from May 2. The latest update is that the film’s director Bharathan is planning to begin the first day shoot with the intro number of Vijay. Reportedly Santhosh Narayanan has already delivered the song and the team is excited with the output. Renowned production house Vijaya Productions is bankrolling the film, which also has Keerthy Suresh, Daniel Balaji, Jagapati Babu and Sathish to its star cast. × Sukumar of Mynaa fame is the DOP of the film and National Award winning editor Praveen KL is in charge of the cuts.

Everything you need to know about First Day of 'Vijay 60'

      As we had reported earlier today, Actor Ilayathalapathy Vijay's land mark 60th film has been launched today with a formal pooja and the shooting has also begun.

The film is being directed by 'Bharathan of Azhagiya Tamil Magan' fame and produced by B.Venkat Rama Reddy under the Vijaya Productions banner which has given many blockbusters and super hits like 'Enga Veettu Pillai', 'Uziappali'. 'Tamirabharani'. 'Padikkadhavan' and 'Veeram' to name a few.

The official press release from the makers confirms that the yet to be titled 'Vijay 60' has been launched with a formal pooja followed by the shooting of the first shot in EVP Studios, Poonamallee,

Keerthy Suresh after the super successful 'Rajini Murugan' is acting as the heroine with Vijay in this flick. Sathish will be teaming up with Vijay for the second time after 'Kaththi'. Jagapati Babu and Daniel Balaji will be acting as villains. Thambi Ramiah and Sriman have been roped in for important supporting roles.

Vijay attended the launch function with a white veshti, shirt and a crew cut look. Keerthy Suresh was dazzling with a light green traditional saree.

Santoh Narayanan has started working on the musical score of the film. Vairamuthu is writing all the songs. Sukumar is taking care of cinematography while the Editing is by Praveen K.L. Prabhakar will be doing the art direction. Anal Arasu will choreograph stunt scenes. Sathya N.J.has designed he costumes.

The shooting will continue tomorrow with which the first schedule will be wrapped up. The second schedule will begin in the month of May 2016, probably after the TN Assembly Elections.

Exclusive Details of 'Vijay 61' and 'Vijay 62'

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 59th film 'Theri' is all set to hit the screens on April 14. The star has already started acting in his landmark 60th film directed by Bharathan.

Now we have some interesting information about Vijay's next two films after 'Vijay 60'.

Atlee, the director of 'Theri' has confirmed in a recent interview that he will team up again with Vijay for a new film. Now we learn that 'Vijay 61' may be directed by Atlee.

After completing his second film with Atlee, Vijay has apparently given his nod to star in a film to be directed by the 'Jilla' director R.T.Neason. After 'Jilla' that released in 2014, Neason hasn't directed any film after 'Jilla' and hence 'Vijay 62' will be his second film with the Ilayathalapathy.

We will have to wait for some more time for things to get firmed up and official announcements on these projects.
